Anta Kai 1 Shoe Review

Overview

This is my first video with Coach Johnny (aka HandeLife/Dribble2Much). He received three pairs of shoes from NBA Champion Kyrie Irving to make an in-depth shoe review.

Research

Coach hadn’t made any long-form videos for products up until this point, so I had to learn/research what makes a good basketball shoe review video. For this project, I took notes from observations I made on the shoe and used notes Coach had on the shoes as well. After this, I broke down the notes into separate categories so that we could make sections in the review for our viewers to follow along with at home. Coach also wanted to include some songs that he released on Spotify to promote his music. To do this, I took the instrumental tracks and placed them under Coach’s dialogue. Finally, I matched the timing of the music to change it into the version of the song with lyrics, building up and intensifying the video’s pace.

Conclusion

This style of video was new to me during this time, but I came up with something that Coach really liked. This led me to become his content manager/videographer on his personal training app.
